In the field of landscape architecture, there is no more distinguished voice than Michael Van Valkenburgh, and so it is appropriate that we begin this new Source Books in Landscape Architecture series with his recently completed Allegheny Riverfront Park project for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
